Roborock robot vacuum — weak wi-fi in one room
Why does my Roborock robot vacuum weak Wi-Fi in one room?
The short answer
"Device offline" partway through a clean, or setup fails at the Wi-Fi step. On the WiFiXpert Compatibility Index the Roborock robot vacuum scores 58/100, and its weakest check is "Works on 5 GHz" — which is exactly where this problem comes from. Setup fails if your phone is on a 5 GHz-only network name.
We publish what breaks with each router and mesh system, and the setting that fixes it.

Free fixes, in order
- Switch your phone to the 2.4 GHz network name during setup, or use one name for both bands.
- Set the robot up next to the router, then carry it back to its dock.
- Turn off 'client isolation' while pairing.
Before you spend anything
- Only if whole rooms have no signal at floor level — mesh, not a new robot.
