Terms of use

Using WiFiXpert

The plain-English rules for using this site, what our advice and scores are, and what we can't promise.

Who we are

WiFiXpert.co.uk is an independent UK Wi-Fi troubleshooting, comparison and compatibility platform, managed by giq.ai Ltd. By using the site you accept these terms.

Our advice is guidance, not a guarantee

Everything on WiFiXpert is general guidance based on published sources, our own testing and reported experience. Every home, network and device is different, so we can't promise a particular result.

You stay responsible for changes you make to your own equipment and accounts. If a change involves your broadband service, your landlord's wiring or anything under warranty, check with the relevant company first.

Nothing here is legal advice. Our complaint and escalation guidance summarises published industry processes; it doesn't replace advice from an ombudsman, regulator or solicitor.

Scores, comparisons and third-party information

Scores and comparisons are produced under our published methodology and are our opinion, formed from dated evidence. Providers, prices, packages and product specifications change; check the current details with the company before you buy.

Product, provider and brand names belong to their owners. We reference them for identification and comparison only, and we're not affiliated with or endorsed by them unless a page says so.

If you believe something we've published about your product or service is wrong, use our corrections route and we'll check it against a source.

Accounts and your data

If you create an account, keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think someone else has used them. We may suspend accounts used for abuse, spam or attempts to break the site's security.

We never ask for your Wi-Fi password, and you should never send it to us or to anyone else who asks.

How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.

Using our content

You may read, print and share our pages for your own personal use, and quote short extracts with a clear credit and a link to the page.

You may not copy our content, scores, data or logos wholesale, republish them, use them to train models or use them commercially without our written permission. Brand assets may be used only as set out on our media page.

Links, affiliate links and advertising

Some links to retailers and providers are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy. This never changes a score, a ranking or what we recommend, and it's disclosed on the pages where it applies.

We're not responsible for the content, prices or practices of sites we link to.

Community contributions

If you post a question, answer or report, you confirm it's your own, it's honest, and you're happy for us to publish, edit or remove it. Don't post personal information about other people, marketing, or anything unlawful.

Answers marked as a verified solution have been checked by our team, but they're still guidance rather than a guarantee.

Availability and liability

We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be up to date or uninterrupted.

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the site develops; the current version always applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
