A Samsung smart TV does work on a eero mesh system, but a couple of the router's default settings cause most of the complaints we see. Fix those first and it settles down.

Do these, in this order

    Put the gadget on the main Wi-Fi name and forget the guest network on your phone.

    Set the network security to the mixed WPA2/WPA3 option rather than WPA3 only.

    Try the TV on 5 GHz first; if it won't hold the connection, use 2.4 GHz.

Settings we'd recommend on the eero mesh system

  • • Keep one Wi-Fi name for the whole house and let eero choose the band.
  • • Leave the eero Labs experimental options switched off while you are troubleshooting.

Good to know about this router: Almost everything is hidden in the phone app, so there is very little to get wrong — but also very little to adjust when a device misbehaves. Guest Wi-Fi keeps devices apart, so anything you control from your phone must be on the main network.

If none of that works

  • If the gadget only ever sits in one spot, a wired connection is always the most reliable answer.
