Ring Stick Up Cam Pro + eero mesh system

A Ring Stick Up Cam Pro does work on a eero mesh system, but a couple of the router's default settings cause most of the complaints we see. Fix those first and it settles down.

- • Do not put Ring Stick Up Cam Pro on eero mesh system's guest or IoT network — devices there are kept apart on purpose.
What it looks like when it goes wrong
- Set-up finishes, then the app immediately loses the gadget.
Do these, in this order

Put the gadget on the main Wi-Fi name and forget the guest network on your phone.

Check the signal reading in the Ring app where the camera actually sits — worse than -65 means it is struggling.

Check your upload speed, not download. Cameras use the upload, and several at once will stutter.
Settings we'd recommend on the eero mesh system
- • Keep one Wi-Fi name for the whole house and let eero choose the band.
- • Leave the eero Labs experimental options switched off while you are troubleshooting.
Good to know about this router: Almost everything is hidden in the phone app, so there is very little to get wrong — but also very little to adjust when a device misbehaves. Guest Wi-Fi keeps devices apart, so anything you control from your phone must be on the main network.
If none of that works
- If the gadget only ever sits in one spot, a wired connection is always the most reliable answer.
