Google Nest speaker & display + Sky Broadband Hub

We see very few problems putting a Google Nest speaker & display on a Sky Broadband Hub. Set it up on the main Wi-Fi name and it should simply stay put.
What it looks like when it goes wrong
- Occasional drop-outs after a power cut or a router restart.
Do these, in this order

Restart the router, wait two minutes, then restart the gadget.

Put your phone on the same Wi-Fi name as the speaker.

Give both bands one Wi-Fi name instead of two.
Settings we'd recommend on the Sky Broadband Hub
- • Turn Sky Broadband Shield off temporarily if a gadget can't finish set-up.
- • Restart the hub, then the gadget — in that order, a couple of minutes apart.
Good to know about this router: Very few settings are exposed, so there is little to change when something misbehaves. Sky Broadband Shield can block set-up pages and some device services.
If none of that works
- Leave the provider's hub doing the broadband and add your own Wi-Fi on top of it — that gives you the settings this hub hides.
- If the gadget only ever sits in one spot, a wired connection is always the most reliable answer.
