We see very few problems putting a Apple TV 4K on a eero mesh system. Set it up on the main Wi-Fi name and it should simply stay put.

What it looks like when it goes wrong
- Set-up finishes, then the app immediately loses the gadget.
Do these, in this order

Put the gadget on the main Wi-Fi name and forget the guest network on your phone.

Put the phone and the Apple TV on the same Wi-Fi name.

Turn off any isolation setting on the router so the two can see each other.
Settings we'd recommend on the eero mesh system
- • Keep one Wi-Fi name for the whole house and let eero choose the band.
- • Leave the eero Labs experimental options switched off while you are troubleshooting.
Good to know about this router: Almost everything is hidden in the phone app, so there is very little to get wrong — but also very little to adjust when a device misbehaves. Guest Wi-Fi keeps devices apart, so anything you control from your phone must be on the main network.
If none of that works
- If the gadget only ever sits in one spot, a wired connection is always the most reliable answer.
