Why is latency high even when the speed looks fast?
Throughput and delay are different. Congestion, bufferbloat, weak signal, retries, VPN routing or game-server distance can raise ping without reducing a headline speed result.
Idle vs loaded latency; packet loss; Wi‑Fi retries; route/server.
Escalate high latency to first ISP hop on wired isolated tests.
