How this works, and what we won't pretend to know
The score is the sum of four published parts: size and layout (25), what the walls are made of (25), where the router sits (30) and the rooms you already lose (20). We do not publish a universal signal loss figure for "a brick wall" — real walls vary far too much for that to be honest. What is well established, and what mesh makers such as eero say themselves, is that brick, stone and concrete get in the way considerably more than plasterboard and timber, and that dense construction usually needs more Wi-Fi points rather than one stronger router. Nothing you enter here is stored or sent anywhere.
