My Sonos speaker won't connect to Wi-Fi — what should I do?
Check three things in this order. First, your phone must be on the same network you want the speaker to join — setup fails silently if the phone is on mobile data or the guest network. Second, the network must be one Sonos supports: home networks are fine, but hotel-style login pages and many extenders are not. Third, restart the speaker and the router, then try setup again with the phone next to the speaker.
Phone on the right Wi-Fi (not mobile data); not a guest or login-page network; password typed exactly; router not blocking new devices (MAC filtering off); speaker restarted before retry.
If the speaker won't join a simple WPA2 network after a restart, with the phone alongside it, contact Sonos support — hardware faults do exist and setup failure at that point is their queue.

Check the router's client list for the speaker's MAC during setup attempts; if it associates then drops, look at security mode — mixed WPA2/WPA3 sometimes trips older speakers, and WPA2-only is the safe test.
On a new provider hub, make sure setup isn't being caught by 'smart setup' screens or split-band names. Where the hub allows it, temporarily simplify to WPA2 and one network name for the setup, then re-tighten.
Don't factory-reset the speaker first — that wipes the easy diagnostic path. A reset is the last step, after network causes are ruled out.
